Job summary

Parabola is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to measure and improve how our software performs. You’ll span performance, security, and architecture work, with on-call duties and a focus on reliability. Join a hybrid team and help scale our orchestration and backend services while enhancing developer experience and operations.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and leadership, owning metrics, SLOs, and incident response to drive high-impact improvements for our customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps or Platform engineering experience.
• Proven record of building efficient, performant systems.
• Quantitative metrics of site reliability and balanced SLOs/SLAs.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration tools and Linux.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor core software and define SLOs/SLAs for reliability.
• Extend and monitor the infrastructure stack for business-critical usage.
• Maintain models of systems to estimate risk and plan projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership on reliability expertise.
• Work on orchestration logic for running thousands of workflows.
• Advise backend projects across planning and release phases.
• Improve scalability, stability and observability of services.
