Job summary

Parabola is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team in San Francisco or New York City. You’ll develop new features, reinforce our technical foundation, and build off a unique flow-based calculation engine.

You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to solve complex problems, write tests, and ensure end-to-end quality. Expect a hybrid schedule with availability in SF or NYC offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack experience in a team-delivered codebase.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a large team.
• Stable, secure, maintainable code craftsmanship.
• Experience with relational databases, REST APIs, and OOP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to implement new product functionality from plan to validation.
• Generate a tech plan, report progress, and build tests.
• Consult with customer-facing teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Leverage AI tools to improve processes and efficiency.
• Write performant TypeScript and Python code across the stack.
• Implement Parabola flows logic and genericize shared components.
• Improve scalability, stability, and observability as the product grows.
• Help define team processes and practices for long-term growth.
