Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support the Starlink program. You will own complex, multi-region infrastructure, scale distributed systems, and ensure highly available services for a global user base.

Candidates should have SRE/DevOps experience, Linux proficiency, and hands-on work with Kubernetes, Istio, and data-processing tools. Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work extended hours are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline with 5 years of software development or 7+ years in site reliability/DevOps.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant in multiple data centers.
• Advance deployment, monitoring, and alerting to support a multi-region environment.
• Manage petabyte-scale bare metal compute clusters.
• Collaborate across programs to create scalable, maintainable products.
• Engage across the software development lifecycle from design to operation.
• Focus on performance bottlenecks and improvements.
