Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the Starlink program, to improve systems and operations across multiple data centers. You will own challenging problems with a team of engineers, aiming to deliver reliable, scalable satellite internet services.

Applicants should have a strong SRE/DevOps background, Linux experience, and hands-on work with Kubernetes, Istio, and data-processing tools like Kafka, Spark, and Flink. Strong collaboration and on-call readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline; or 5+ years of software development with SRE/DevOps.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant across data centers.
• Advance deployment, monitoring, and alerting for multi-region environments.
• Manage petabyte-scale bare metal compute clusters.
• Collaborate with engineers to create scalable, operable products.
• Engage across the full software lifecycle from design to operations.
• Focus on performance bottlenecks and improvement techniques.
