Job summary

Shutterstock is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the GIPHY SRE team in New York. You will design, build, operate, and evolve cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD platforms to support billions of daily users and major social platforms.

You will work with development teams to boost reliability and efficiency while handling production incidents. Responsibilities include operating cloud/CDN resources, scaling CI/CD, and driving multi-region Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS experience, especially EKS, S3, EC2 and VPC.
• Deep Linux, networking, and distributed systems knowledge.
• Proficiency with IaaS/IaC: Terraform and Atlantis.
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions; deployment tools Helm, Spinnaker and ArgoCD.
• Programming in Python, Java, Go or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve cloud, CDN, and CI/CD platforms for reliability.
• Improve deployment reliability and developer experience across pipelines.
• Lead multi-region Kubernetes implementation and ongoing ops.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot complex issues end-to-end.
• Adopt AI-assisted development practices and stay current with tech trends.
