Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to operate, scale, and improve a cloud-native platform on AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and ArgoCD-driven GitOps. You will strengthen reliability, scalability, observability, and security of our infrastructure and delivery ecosystem while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with production experience and proficient in Terraform/Terragrunt, Helm, Bash, Python, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infra.
• Strong hands-on AWS production experience.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise including multi-tenancy and cluster ops.
• Experience with ArgoCD in GitOps environments.
• Terraform/Terragrunt for infra provisioning.
• Scripting in Bash or Python; CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux, containers, IAM, networking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of production infra and platform services.
• Scale Kubernetes platforms and manage multi-tenant workloads.
• Manage GitOps deployments with ArgoCD and Helm.
• Drive provisioning with Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Lead incident response, RCA, and post-outage improvements.
• Reduce toil with automation and tooling.
• Advance observability with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts.
• Support secure secrets, IAM operations, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with app, security, and platform teams to improve reliability.
