Okta is hiring for a Site Reliability role focused on building and owning the core infrastructure that powers the identity platform. You will work on a modern tech stack to deliver durable, automated systems that maximize platform reliability and engineering velocity.

The ideal candidate thrives on analyzing systems, improving performance, availability and capacity. You will be part administrator, part network admin, and part developer, and you should be ready for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cloud operations experience.
• 8+ years administering Linux and debugging system-level issues.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancers, DNS.
• Experience with Apache httpd, nginx, Tomcat, or similar.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, Golang; git.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work on-call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly available cloud infrastructure edge for Okta.
• Automate AWS infrastructure with Terraform and/or Chef.
• Introduce changes to improve efficiency, scalability and velocity.
