Job summary

Equifax is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to design and run large-scale, distributed systems across cloud-native and hybrid environments. You will implement infrastructure as code, build CI/CD pipelines, and develop automation to deploy and manage service changes while ensuring uptime and performance.

Responsibilities include on-call incident triage, blameless postmortems, and leading runbooks to prevent outages. A strong background in programming and cloud tooling is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, and networking.
• 2+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud.
• Experience monitoring infrastructure and uptime to meet objectives.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or Node.js.
• Strong automation and orchestration using Terraform, Chef, Ansible; containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and practices; cloud certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage system uptime across cloud-native (AWS, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
• Build infrastructure as code patterns meeting security/engineering standards using Terraform and cloud SDK.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment of application and cloud patterns.
• Develop automated tooling to deploy service changes and craft runbooks for remediation.
• Diagnose complex distributed architecture issues; participate in on-call for high-severity incidents.
• Lead blameless postmortems and drive actions to prevent recurrences.
