Toyota Financial Services Technology Operations Center in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer focused on backup infrastructure. You will apply software engineering to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise backup systems.

You will automate backup workflows, participate in DR testing, collaborate across teams, and own SLIs/SLOs to improve overall reliability and efficiency.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise backup infrastructure in production environments.
• Experience with AWS Backups, NetBackup, Cohesity, and native database backups.
• Experience ensuring reliability and health of daily backups and restores.
• Proficiency with Dynatrace, CloudWatch for observability and alerting.
• Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with automation or configuration management such as Ansible.
• Understanding of SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
• Database backup/restore operations for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Responsabilidades

• Manage enterprise backup infra including AWS Backups, NetBackup, Cohesity, and native database backups.
• Ensure daily backups/restores are reliable and meet RTO/RPO targets.
• Build automation to improve backup/restore workflows and developer experience.
• Design observability and alerting with Dynatrace to detect backup issues.
• Generate automated compliance and operational reports.
• Troubleshoot production backup failures and implement durable fixes.
• Support capacity planning, restore testing, DR, and business continuity exercises.
• Define and manage SLIs/SLOs and automated remediation for backup services.
• Collaborate across teams for service reliability and readiness.
• Participate in on-call rotations and major incident restoration.
