Job summary

Material Security, a cybersecurity company, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of the infrastructure every product team builds on. You will design and build software that removes manual on-call intervention and improve system visibility across environments.

Material Security is remote-first with an office in San Francisco, California. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to run GCP and Kubernetes at production scale, implement autoscaling and capacity

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering fundamentals and production code as your default way of solving problems.
• Hands-on experience running GCP and Kubernetes at production scale, including autoscaling and capacity management.
• Automation-first mindset and comfort driving ambiguous, cross-team reliability work from diagnosis to shipped fix.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software that removes manual on-call intervention and recurring sources of toil.
• Lead infrastructure projects end to end and build tooling that shows system health across GCP projects.
• Define SLOs with product teams and raise the reliability bar across engineering.
