EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES

1. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
2. Ensure stability, scalability, capacity, and performance of customer-facing, mission-critical platforms.
3. Participate in the development lifecycle: ideation, development, deployment, operationalization, and enhancement.
4. Guide new platforms and functionality through development, serving as design and architecture advisor, and provide support for software and platform capacity planning, cost analysis, and operationalization.
5. Assume operational leadership for new platforms and functionalities prior to general release.
6. Monitor availability, functionality, capacity, and performance; identify and resolve problems; manage change and release processes.
7. Drive scalability, automation, and stability improvements; reduce operational toil.
8. Lead incident response, conduct blameless root cause analysis, and drive positive outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

Employer requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the role or a related computer occupation. The experience must include:

• Software development, scripting languages, and workflow tools including PowerShell, Java, Python, and Camunda;
• Cloud, infrastructure, deployment, and database tools including Azure, Terraform, ArgoCD, Postgres, Snowflake, and MongoDB;
• Tiered applications, middleware, database systems, and supporting components in virtual and cloud environments;
• Software development, systems automation, scripting, or network design;
• Optimizing platform architectures; and
• Automating routine tasks, debugging, and optimizing scripts or code.

PAY

$103,605 - $191,502 per year
