We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to play a fundamental role within our team and elevate Gelato!
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate Gelato infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment.
- Improve our incident management lifecycle for overall reliability.
- Enhance our postmortem philosophy.
- Contribute to our DevOps culture.
- Deploy and maintain Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS) core components and observability stacks.
- Evaluate and modernize our infrastructure and deployment strategies to align with industry standards.
- Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipeline and governance.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide operational support and ensure service availability.
- Participate in and facilitate team meetings.
- Provide insights on system design and scalability, focusing on reliability, security, and efficiency in a Web3 context.
- Seek cost-effective, innovative solutions and promote industry standards adoption.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience maintaining cloud infrastructure with modern technologies.
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining Web3-related infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of GitOps principles.
- Ability to lead and positively influence peers in decision-making.
- Ability to maintain high performance and accuracy in rapidly changing environments.
- Experience operating infrastructure on major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with Unix-based systems.
- Experience operating and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
- Proficiency with Git, Helm, Terraform, Kubectl, and similar tools.
- Knowledge of networking, CDN, gateways, and deployment strategies.
- Experience operating highly available infrastructure.
- Understanding of microservice architecture and operations.
- Experience with debugging, logging, monitoring, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog.
- Experience implementing cost-optimized solutions.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Rust, PHP, TypeScript) with software development capabilities.
- Understanding of Web3 technologies and challenges, including RaaS.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
