Job summary

Sun Chemical, a leading global producer, seeks a Site Manager for its Cincinnati-area manufacturing site. The role leads a team of ~92 employees across 24/7 operations and directly oversees 8 department leaders to drive safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of chemical manufacturing leadership, experience with union/non-union workforces, and a proven track record in EHS, quality, and cost reduction. Strong strategic and people leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 15+ years of managerial leadership in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience managing both union and non-union teams and positive employee relations.
• Proven track record in EHS, quality, cycle time, asset optimization, and capital projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site team to achieve safety, quality, service and delivery goals.
• Foster continuous improvement, breakthrough performance, and high employee engagement.
• Identify and manage operational risks including EHS, regulatory, quality, and asset reliability.
• Develop and implement budgets, objectives, personnel plans, inventory management, and capital plans.
• Define long-term manufacturing and asset strategies to align with global business strategy.
• Represent Sun Chemical with state/local authorities and community outreach.
• Create a safety-first culture and empower teams to act decisively.
