Unknown Client, a leader in the South African construction sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee Randburg, Gauteng projects. The role focuses on on-site execution, safety, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

The Senior Site Manager will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving quality and client satisfaction across diverse building and infrastructure developments.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in site management within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes in Gauteng.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and construction planning tools.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and practices.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure project profitability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all construction activities on site to ensure project completion according to plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, including phasing, logistics, and safety protocols.
• Lead, motivate, and manage site personnel, including foremen, tradespeople, and general laborers.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Control project costs by effectively managing resources, labor, and materials.
• Oversee subcontractors, ensuring they comply with contract terms and project schedules.
• Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the construction process.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Manage site documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and progress updates.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and authorities to ensure smooth project operations.
• Resolve site-related issues and disputes promptly and effectively.
