Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to oversee a major infrastructure project in Centurion, Gauteng. This hybrid role blends on-site supervision with remote planning and administration, ensuring timely milestones within budget.

Responsibilities include directing on-site activities, mentoring crews, and ensuring safety and quality standards, all while coordinating with the project team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction site management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial sites.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations in SA.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and common office applications.
• Ability to work in a demanding on-site and remote administrative setting.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to the site regularly.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities with focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop site-specific work plans and schedules; coordinate with project management.
• Mentor site supervisors, foremen, and crew to foster productivity and safety.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; conduct site audits.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment; manage site resources and costs.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors for on-site queries.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation; participate in meetings remotely or on-site.
