Placements24 client in Randburg, Gauteng seeks a Senior Construction Engineer to oversee technical execution on large-scale projects. You will guide site teams, ensure designs are translated into safe, compliant structures, and manage planning from an engineering perspective.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, ECSA registration, and 8+ years of construction experience, including leadership roles, with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• ECSA registration is mandatory.
• 8+ years of progressive construction engineering experience, with 3+ years in senior/lead roles.
• Experience on major civil/infrastructure projects in urban environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and structural principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical execution of construction projects, ensuring designs and specs are followed.
• Provide engineering guidance to site teams and resolve technical challenges.
• Develop and implement construction methodologies and sequences.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and supervise site engineering staff and technical teams.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and construction plans.
• Conduct site inspections for progress, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate with design consultants, project managers and clients on technical matters.
• Contribute to planning and scheduling from an engineering perspective.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
