Job summary

Turner Industries Energy Services seeks a Site Manager to provide overall administrative and technical management for one jobsite in Whiting, IN. The role reports to the Project Manager and oversees on-site staff, subcontractors, and client interface to ensure design, budget, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 8+ years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods).
• Advanced knowledge of jobsite crafts and ability to advise more efficient methods of productivity.
• Able to inspire employees to constant improvement while administering accountability.
• Excellent mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; interfacing with Project Manager and client representatives, subcontractors, security, etc.
• Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to; interpret policies and revise site policies with approvals.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, accounting staff).
• Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
• Provide technical assistance: interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods/equipment.
• Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and change orders.
• Assume responsibility for productivity, materials and equipment usage, and contractual performance.
• Assist with safety program implementation/interpretation.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
