Job summary

Turner Industries Energy Services is seeking a Site Manager for the Whiting, IN area. The role provides overall administrative and technical management for one jobsite, reporting to the Project Manager.

It is a non-exempt position with emphasis on safety and policy adherence. The Site Manager will oversee planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, and daily directions for onsite staff, ensuring project policies are followed and productivity is optimized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods).
• Advanced knowledge of jobsite crafts and ability to advise more efficient methods of productivity.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, subcontractors, security, etc.
• Interpret policies, update site-specific policies with Project Manager and client approvals.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions including planning, scheduling, and material control.
• Supervise craft employees and/or contractors and provide technical assistance.
• Initiate and maintain change orders and ensure productivity and safety programs.

We are seeking a Site Manager to join our Team in the Whiting, IN area. The Site Manager position provides overall administrative and technical management for one jobsite. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Project Manager; Receives guidance on broad goals and overall objectives / in charge of a functional area / influences policy, but not final authority.

Essential Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• Minimum of eight (8) years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction

Functional Requirements

Oversee jobsite to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; works in alliance with Project Manager; also includes interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, security, etc.; ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to; interpret policies as required, update and revise site specific policies and procedures as needed with Project Manager and client approvals; plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.); supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract; provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.; initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders; assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance; assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement
