Job summary

HyAxiom, the Doosan Group hydrogen energy arm, seeks a Site Design Engineer to design and optimize fuel cell system site layouts. You will partner with customers to define layouts, optimize space and safety, and coordinate with EPC firms to balance cost and performance.

You’ll ensure code compliance, integrate with electrical and mechanical systems, and explore modular construction methods to reduce on-site labor. This role is based in South Windsor, CT with occasional field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years designing site layouts for complex energy systems, preferably fuel cells or similar.
• Experience with customer-facing roles and understanding customer requirements for energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Site Layout Design for fuel cell systems, including equipment placement and power distribution.
• Collaborate with customers to tailor layouts to their needs and constraints.
• Identify cost-saving construction methods and work with EPCs to implement them.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
• Coordinate with EPC firms to align design with construction capabilities and budgets.
