Job summary

GE Vernova Operations LLC is seeking a Commodity Site Leader to head site sourcing for assigned categories, drive supplier selection, and manage capacity and readiness to ensure stable material flow and growth. You will partner across functions, monitor KPIs, and use Lean and GenAI tools to optimize SQDC outcomes.

The role requires 5–8 years in strategic sourcing or supply chain in manufacturing, with ERP/SAP and Ariba experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering or related field; total capability and achievements favored.
• 5–8 years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• 5–8 years developing sourcing strategies and negotiating supplier contracts.
• Working knowledge of legal and commercial contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Own the site sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and translate priorities into clear supply plans.
• Drive supplier selection, qualification, negotiations, and awards to strengthen cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Proactively manage supplier capacity and readiness to support stable material flow and future growth.
• Lead No Source Parts Management and sourcing standard work, including RFQs, qualifications, and stakeholder updates.
• Partner with Buyers, Global Commodity Teams, MPR planners, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and suppliers to align priorities and remove roadblocks.
• Monitor supplier performance, own category KPIs, benchmark suppliers, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, daily management, and QDIP routines.
• Leverage data, digital tools, and GenAI-enabled solutions to uncover SQDC opportunities and accelerate decisions.
• Ensure procurement master data is clean and up to date across price, lead time, and payment terms.
