Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Sr. Commodity Manager for our Wendell, NC location. You will lead strategic sourcing across multiple sites, drive cost competitiveness, and ensure supply continuity while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing with business objectives.

The role requires 8+ years in procurement within manufacturing, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance programs.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and eSourcing tools.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship and willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain resiliency.
• Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers while benchmarking market capabilities, capacity, and cost structures.
• Leading complex RFQs, supplier negotiations, tooling programs, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Building alternate sourcing strategies to support growth, mitigate risk, and improve business continuity.
• Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
• Driving supplier productivity, continuous improvement, cost transparency, and performance management programs.
