Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a skilled souring/procurement professional to manage outsourced systems commodities for Gas Power New Units.

You will develop and execute strategies to optimize safety, quality, delivery and cost, build supplier panels, and lead negotiations to meet project needs. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years in sourcing or commodity management, with willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and/or commodity management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of supplier contracts for assigned commodity.
• Develop and manage supplier panel.
• Develop and execute supplier strategies to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Identify suppliers for project quotes and lead negotiations.
• Ensure adequate capacity exists from supplier panels for assigned commodities.
• Allocate demand and ensure suppliers meet GE Vernova requirements.
• Coordinate awards and purchase order placement with ITO, Engineering, Projects, Quality and Procurement.
• Manage contract changes and commercial claims related to delivery and quality.
• Build subject matter expertise in assigned commodity.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Resolve complex issues, build stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members.
• Use sound judgment, technical expertise, data analytics, and cross-functional input to support decisions.
