Job summary

AKRF, Inc. in New York City seeks a Senior Site Civil Engineer to design and manage land development projects for municipal and private clients. You will lead site/civil drawings and reports, manage tasks and budgets, and oversee construction administration with site visits.

The role requires a BS/BE in Civil Engineering, 5–10 years' experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D. NYS PE is preferred; LICENSURE in NYS within 6–12 months may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• NYS PE recommended; if licensed elsewhere, NYS licensure within 6–12 months.
• Day-to-day project communication and coordination with clients and other design consultants.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience with NYC permitting and/or Westchester County approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead/support preparation of site/civil drawings, specifications and reports for NYC area projects.
• Lead/support project management including task scope, schedules and budgets.
• Lead/support construction administration with periodic site visits.
• Provide direction, delegation and training to junior staff.
