Job summary

AKRF, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Senior Civil Roadway Project Manager based in New York City to lead design teams on major roadway and infrastructure projects. You will oversee project delivery, coordinate with clients and agencies, and ensure high-quality, on-time results.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a PE license preferred, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of related experience is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State is preferred (or obtainable within 6–12 months).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
• Knowledge of MicroStation/OpenRoads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design and management of plans, specs, and deliverables for capital improvement projects involving roadway, drainage, and utility infrastructure in New York City.
• Oversee day-to-day project communication and coordination with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and overall project management responsibilities.
• Provide direction, delegation, mentoring, and training to staff engineers.
