Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a senior expert to lead SiPhotonics packaging initiatives, defining photonic and electronic package architectures and ensuring reliability across data centers, automotive, and communications markets.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, validate technology readiness, and drive innovations with OSAT partners while ensuring cost-effective, scalable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Expertise in photonic and electronic package architecture definition.
• Broad and deep knowledge of technology and commercial trends in current and future tech.
• Experience bringing packaged products from development into production for data centers, automotive and communications.
• Expert in chip-package interaction for 2D, 2.5D, 3D SiPh advanced packaging.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on GF technical subject matter expert for SiPhotonics packaging.
• Lead engineers in packaging design reviews, materials selection and FMEAs.
• Ensure technology maturity and IP readiness meet industry expectations.
• Align packaging solutions with data centers, automotive and communications requirements.
• Drive GF leadership in SiPh packaging innovations and OSAT ecosystem collaboration.
• Provide analytical tools and assess financial implications of quality issues.
• Ensure site quality processes are standardized and followed.
• Support safety and EH&S requirements across activities.
