Muon Space seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Simulation team in Silicon Valley. The role blends building reliable web services with high‑performance compute jobs and shaping software architecture. Hybrid work requires on-site in San Jose three days weekly.

You will mentor engineers, lead cross-functional projects, and contribute to product delivery across the company while ensuring quality and performance targets are met.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering in a team.
• Strong Python and C++ programming.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and support in-house simulation services for stakeholder teams.
• Break down complex goals into detailed proposals.
• Collaborate with modeling experts to integrate simulation models.
• Incorporate feedback from client teams to improve products.
• Expand test coverage with novel off-nominal scenarios.
• Work with Software Test to integrate tools into automated campaigns.
• Lead by example with reliable estimation and planning.
• Ensure alignment with company goals and performance metrics.
• Mentor Simulation and Test engineers.
