Muon Space in San Jose, CA is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Simulation team. You will architect and build high-performance compute jobs and web services, shaping the direction of our simulation tools and delivering integrated products to stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, align roadmaps with business needs, and collaborate with experts to translate models into complete solutions. A strong generalist with excellent communication is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in a team environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate with specialized experts to deliver complex, cross-functional products.
• Strong programming experience in both high-level scripting languages and compiled systems languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead Muon's in-house simulation product team.
• Design and deliver simulation services meeting stakeholder needs.
• Align technical roadmaps with product requirements and mission needs.
• Collaborate to develop simulation performance specifications and integrate models into complete products.
• Drive iterative improvements based on client feedback and automated testing.
