Latitude AI is building autonomous driving software for Ford’s autonomy roadmap. The role focuses on implementing the parser and backend tooling to execute simulated scenarios at scale in the cloud, enabling rapid safety testing and feature validation.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams across ML, robotics, cloud, and safety engineering to iterate on scenario definitions, improve tooling, and support scalable testing workflows for AV development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s/PhD).
• Expertise in modern C++ (C++17).
• 3+ years’ experience with developing complex parsing software.

Responsabilidades

• Implement the parser that takes a sim scenario definition and connects it to the backend simulation engine.
• Collaborate with autonomy developers and scenario creation to express new requirements in the scenario definition.
• Identify pain points in scenario definitions and propose practical improvements.
• Create mechanisms to express ranges of scenario parameters with efficient sampling.
• Support other backend sim infrastructure updates (message flow, vehicle logs, maps).
• Enable users to build rich scenario sets to validate safety and comfort of the AV in a scalable cloud environment.
