Job summary

Latitude AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Runtime Infrastructure Frameworks team to design, develop, and maintain core software frameworks for its automated driving stack across embedded and Linux platforms.

You will collaborate with systems engineering, autonomy, and safety groups to ensure integration, testing, and safety compliance while delivering scalable software for Ford’s autonomy roadmap in a fast-paced environment in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of development using C++11 or newer.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Ability to design software components and communicate designs clearly.
• Strong team collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test reliable high-performance software that all autonomy functions are built upon.
• Develop tools for providing insight into the performance and behavior of the system.
• Collaborate with autonomy teams to ensure their systems integrate with the runtime infrastructure frameworks.
• Create automated unit and integration tests that verify the software and requirements.
• Work with the simulation team to ensure runtime system is tested off-vehicle in a virtual environment.
• Contribute to software architecture development within your area of ownership.
• Work with Product Security and Functional Safety to meet automotive safety standards.
