Job summary

Latitude AI is building the future of Ford’s autonomy roadmap with an in-house, hands-free ADAS platform. The Scalable ML team develops data generation, orchestration, and distributed training infrastructure to empower ML developers across multiple platforms.

You will lead a high-performing engineering team, define long-term data and training strategy, and drive robust MLOps practices for scalable, reliable ML deployments with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 10 years of software experience.
• 10 years in software development with 5+ years in staff/principal or senior tech leadership.
• Experience shaping multi-team technical strategy and architecture.
• Expertise in large-scale distributed systems and ML cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Python production development track record.
• Ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
• Nice to have: advanced degrees and distributed ML tool experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Scalable ML team, setting technical standards.
• Define multi-quarter strategy for data generation, orchestration, and distributed training.
• Represent the team in planning and architecture decisions.
• Advance MLOps practices: artifacts, experiments, deployment and testing.
• Partner with ML Platform, Jobs Platform, Cloud Platform and HPC teams.
• Ensure reliability and cross-team incident root-cause and prevention.
