Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced power and thermal control engineer to design, implement, and optimize silicon power and thermal controllers from spec through production. You’ll drive DVFS, profiling, modeling, and cross-functional debugging with firmware, hardware, and software teams to unlock performance within thermal limits.

With 6+ years in relevant roles, you will ship system-level features to Datacenter and client products, translating complex signals into clear executive options.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 6+ years building power and thermal controllers in firmware for GPU/CPU/SoC products.
• Hands-on system bring-up, DVFS, power characterization, modeling, and perf-per-watt optimization.
• Experience with system-level thermal policies and data-analysis workflows.
• Solid understanding of digital design, CPU/GPU/SoC architecture, and transistor physics.
• Experience working with globally distributed offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and tune silicon power and thermal controllers from spec to production.
• Debug power-limiting constraints and deliver product-specific optimizations.
• Deliver system-level power optimizations for datacenter and client products.
• Collaborate with SCG Tools to improve modeling, testing, and closed-loop techniques.
• Validate features across bring-up through production and manage fixes.
• Translate power/thermal signals into decision-ready options for leadership.
• Work with architects, designers, firmware, and ATE engineers in a high-energy environment.
