Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a senior Software Engineer to join the Client Platform group, focusing on power management, thermal regulation, and performance optimization for SoC-based platforms. You will influence architecture and drive cross-team alignment from architecture to productization.

The role requires 12+ years in system software with 5+ years on SoC or platform power management, strong C and OS skills, and proven leadership across partners and internal teams. On-site in Santa Clara, CA.

Qualifications

12+ years of industry experience in system software with 5+ years on SoC/platform power management.
Deep expertise in SoC/GPU/CPU power management concepts (C-states, DVFS, power gating).
Proven track record delivering Power/Thermal software goals from architecture to post-launch optimization.
Strong cross-functional leadership across SoC partners, OS vendors, and OEM teams.
Proficiency in C and OS internals; experience with drivers and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement power and thermal control software for SoC platforms.
Own end-to-end software addressing power usage and thermal goals across the software stack.
Lead root-cause analysis for power/thermal issues and drive corrective actions for future generations.
Coordinate with firmware, kernel/driver teams, and OEM SW to align on platform power/thermal strategy.
