Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in the United States seeks an experienced SIGPRO SME to sustain, overhaul, and modernize the AN/SPY-1 radar signal processor subsystem. You will guide design recovery, troubleshooting, and test strategy development across engineering, sustainment, and depot activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with legacy digital processing architectures and timing.
• Diagnose and repair at the board level.
• Read schematics and embedded processing logic.
• Document test procedures for government sustainment.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• NAVSEA/METCAL standards familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and documentation of legacy signal processor components.
• Support design recovery and traceability from limited data or harvested hardware.
• Develop prototype subassemblies, repair processes, and tests.
• Create and validate functional test procedures and timing diagrams.
• Identify at-risk components and support redesign or emulation.
• Coordinate with systems engineers and OEM partners on requirements.
• Contribute ITDPs, depot planning, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with NAVSEA and METCAL standards.
• Serve as technical lead for AN/SPY-1 SIGPRO across radar variants.
