Job summary

The City of Bremerton is seeking a skilled Street Signs Technician responsible for fabrication, installation, and maintenance of street signs, pavement markings, and guardrails. You will coordinate traffic-control layouts for events and construction, train staff, and manage materials and estimates.

Ideal candidates will have MUTCD knowledge, equipment operation experience, and the ability to work in diverse weather and urban settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in sign fabrication and traffic-control operations.
• Familiarity with MUTCD and street standards.
• Ability to plan and coordinate work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to obtain required certifications within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace street signs, markings, and guardrails per standards.
• Plan traffic-control layouts for parades, events, and construction zones.
• Train staff in equipment operation, safety, and procedures.
• Prepare project estimates and manage materials and inventory.
