Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA seeks a Sr. Project Engineer – Enterprise Systems Engineering to lead SIGINT architecture studies and interface definitions for next generation systems.

You will collaborate with government customers and contractors, oversee matrix-engineering teams, and present technical findings. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor’s or higher in a technical field, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or related technical field.
• 12 years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Experience in R&D of new technologies for space systems (microelectronics, optical sensors, RF).
• Ability to work with government customers and contractors in a matrixed environment.
• Technical knowledge of complex defense systems including spacecraft acquisition & systems engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph; US citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a multi-disciplined systems engineer in the program office for SIGINT architecture.
• Contribute to payload and mission suite performance and interface definitions.
• Lead architectural implementation trades with the Aerospace mission analysis team.
• Direct Aerospace matrix engineering organization and ETG resources for concept development and analyses.
• Interface with Government Customers while coordinating with SETA and other contractors.
• Prepare independent technical findings and recommendations for government and management.
• Support advancement efforts with strong technical understanding of end users.
• Contribute to enterprise-level assessments and mitigation planning.
