Job summary

Rambus is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer for Signal Integrity and Package Design in Johns Creek, GA. You will join a high-profile SI/PI team focusing on DDR products up to 16000+ MT/s, with a hybrid work model combining onsite and remote days.

You will lead SI/PI studies, guide packaging and PCB routing decisions, and work with customers to optimize solutions. A strong background in EM theory, equalization, and DDR4/5 SRDES is required.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with DDR4/5 and SERDES interfaces.
• Strong understanding of EM and transmission line theory.
• Proven ability to lead SI/PI and package design projects.

Responsibilities

• Create SI/PI methodologies and work with Design and SI teams on SI/PI study and package design for DDR products.
• Collaborate with design/validation teams to define packaging, PCB routing, decoupling, and channel simulations.
• Provide guidelines based on SI/PI studies to achieve superior SI performance (e.g., high RMT scores).
• Collaborate with customers to optimize SI/PI solutions.
• Assist in lab bring-up and debugging as needed.
