Gunvor Group is seeking a Sr. Shipping Operator in Houston to manage pre-fixture and post-fixture activities for a diverse fleet. You will optimize voyages, monitor weather routing and fuel use, and coordinate with owners, charterers and agents. The role requires strong leadership and regulatory insight.

You will oversee risk management, incident handling, and cost control initiatives while driving operational efficiency across time-charter and voyage operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics or related field.
• Additional training or certifications in shipping operations or charter party understanding.
• Familiarity with BIMCO, ICS practices and IMDG Code preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage pre-fixture and post-fixture for MR to VLCC and Bitumen voyages.
• Monitor vessel movement, weather routing and fuel consumption; prepare claims.
• Appoint port agents and optimize costs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and train shipping team; ensure SOP adherence and risk mitigation.
