Job summary

Cargo Management seeks Operators who drive end-to-end supply and delivery on bulk crude or product tankers, coordinating with traders, terminals and crews to maximize margins and ensure compliance with HSSE guidelines. You will schedule voyages, oversee bunkering and cargo readiness.

This role requires 2–3 years in commercial operations, strong numeracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team, defending P&L and optimizing asset utilisation while handling after-hours issues when needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Commercial Operations or a similar role.
• Ability to maximise margins or add value to the bottom line, e.g. end‑to‑end supply strategy plans.
• Ability to implement an operations plan and manage constraints independently.
• Understanding of the demands and nature of the commercial business.
• Strong teamwork, networking and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Problem-solving in uncertain circumstances or with incomplete information.
• Comfort with a fast-paced, dynamic environment where change is the norm.
• Self-starter with resilience and drive to get things done.
• Passion for operations excellence and participation in optimisation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply and delivery schedules with internal and external counterparties, ensuring profitability and compliance.
• Provide timely ship/cargo and date-range nominations.
• Manage vessel operations: scheduling, routing, bunkering, stow planning and voyage orders.
• Oversee cargo operations: off-spec handling, cargo readiness, scheduling and blending where applicable.
• Support post-deal activities: settlements, customs clearance, demurrage and claims.
• Appoint cargo surveyors, expeditors, ship agents and service providers.
• Update operational data in trading systems accurately and promptly.
• Maintain records to meet legal and fiscal obligations and ensure security before title transfer.
• Be available for after-hours or weekend issues as needed.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and numeracy.
