Job summary

Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer, is seeking a Shipping Manager to oversee the complete shipping lifecycle for valuable items. You will lead a team of coordinators, manage packing, labeling, documentation, and tracking, and ensure strict quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction as Heritage continues its growth across national and international

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in shipping/logistics with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience with shipping software and inventory systems.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee all aspects of the shipping process, including packing, labeling, documentation, and tracking of shipments.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of shipping coordinators and staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the safe handling and packaging of items, preventing damage during transit.
• Inventory Management: Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure accurate records and proper storage of items awaiting shipment.
• Customer Service: Address and resolve shipping-related inquiries and issues from clients, providing exceptional service and support.
• Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, national, and international regulations and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on shipping activities, performance metrics, and inventory status to senior management.
