Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services seeks a Shift Technical Advisor to provide technical expertise on approved safety basis for facility operations and to evaluate changes for safe operation. This on-site role is contingent on funding and requires DOE-related qualifications.

Responsibilities include supporting Operations/Shift Managers, ensuring compliance with safety bases, and leading cross-functional coordination for large initiatives. DOE clearance aspects and pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related science with extensive experience.
• 14–20+ years in applicable engineering or safety roles.
• DOE qualification requirements or alternatives as specified.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for Operations Manager and Shift Manager to ensure safe daily operations.
• Interface with support groups to ensure facility activities comply with safety basis and approved work.
• Troubleshoot and improve issues within operations management to meet compliance.
• Coordinate large cross-cutting projects across interfaces and departments.
• Present technical briefings describing operations and compliance methods.
• Evaluate proposed changes against the Documented Safety Analysis via USQ.
• Determine processes to keep changes within scope and methods for the facility.
• Provide on-call coverage on scheduled weekends as needed.
