Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to manage a second/alternate shift in a critical facilities environment. You will oversee facility operations, maintenance activities, and technician performance to ensure safe, reliable building systems.

Applicants must pass a government security investigation and be able to obtain necessary clearances. The role requires strong leadership, rigorous safety adherence, and hands-on experience with central plant and mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for government security investigations.
• Experience operating central utility plants and institutional mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct managerial leadership for shift personnel and operations.
• Lead daily facility operations and maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Assign and monitor technician activities based on safety and workload.
• Maintain shift reports and CMMS records; ensure documentation is up to date.
• Enforce safety practices, including LOTO and ORM processes.
• Coordinate with management and Building Operations Center to resolve issues.
