Job summary

Gallo Mechanical LLC is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Estimating Manager to lead our sheet metal preconstruction function, overseeing estimates for sheet metal and HVAC ductwork, mentoring the estimators, and ensuring accurate, competitive bids.

You will drive bid strategy, manage workload and bid calendars, influence go/no-go decisions with executives, collaborate with BIM/VDC, and continuously improve cost databases and pricing libraries.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of sheet metal estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• At least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable an estimating team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of estimators, ensuring technical accuracy and growth.
• Review and approve all estimates prior to submission, ensuring accuracy and alignment with bid strategy.
• Manage workload, capacity planning, and bid calendar for timely proposals across multiple pursuits.
• Establish estimating standards, templates, workflows, and quality control processes.
