Job summary

Vanguard in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to design, implement, and support SFMC solutions. You will work across Marketing, Product, and IT teams to deliver secure, data-driven journeys and campaigns.

The role requires hands-on work with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder, plus AMPscript and SQL. You will mentor junior teammates, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help elevate engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Eng, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.
• Strong experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder, and related SFMC capabilities.
• Proficiency with AMPscript, SQL, data modeling, and API integrations.
• Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other platforms.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports SFMC solutions including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
• Develops dynamic content, audience segmentation, triggered communications, and automated customer journeys.
• Integrates SFMC with enterprise platforms and analytics tools.
• Ensures scalability, security, compliance, and operational support requirements.
• Collaborates with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to translate vision into technical solutions.
• Mentors junior developers and promotes engineering best practices including CI/CD and QA standards.
• Troubleshoots production issues and optimizes platform performance.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation and development standards.
• Evaluates emerging technologies, including AI-driven capabilities, to enhance personalization.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.
