Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer in Malvern, PA to design, implement, and support SFMC solutions across Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder. The role emphasizes scalable, secure, data-driven marketing capabilities with a hybrid work model.

You will integrate SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other enterprise platforms, follow engineering best practices, participate in Agile ceremonies, mentor junior developers, and drive improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and support.
• Strong experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder.
• Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, data modeling and API integrations.
• Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other platforms.
• Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/SAFe).
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports SFMC solutions across the platform.
• Develops dynamic content, audience segmentation, triggered communications, and journeys.
• Integrates SFMC with enterprise platforms including Salesforce CRM and data tools.
• Ensures scalability, security, compliance, and operational support requirements.
• Collaborates with product, architecture, and business stakeholders in Agile ceremonies.
• Promotes best practices, including CI/CD, test-driven development, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoots production issues, monitors performance, and optimizes reliability.
• Creates technical documentation and participates in mentoring junior developers.
• Explores AI-driven capabilities to enhance personalization and campaign effectiveness.
