Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer in Charlotte to design, build, and support SFMC solutions that drive personalized omni-channel campaigns. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and tech teams to deliver scalable, data-driven capabilities.

The role requires 5+ years with SFMC, strong AMPscript/SQL skills, and experience integrating SFMC with CRM and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

Five or more years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.
Strong experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
Proficiency with AMPscript, SQL, data modeling, and API integrations.
Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other enterprise platforms.
Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports SFMC solutions including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
Develops dynamic content, audience segmentation, triggered communications, and automated journeys.
Integrates SFMC with enterprise systems such as Salesforce CRM and Adobe Experience Cloud.
Ensures solutions meet security, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards.
Participates in Agile ceremonies and promotes CI/CD practices.
Creates technical documentation and operational procedures.
Troubleshoots production issues and optimizes platform performance.
