Job summary

Town of Amherst is seeking a Senior Services Coordinator (Program Director) to provide support, advocacy, and case management to older adults and their families, helping them access resources that promote independence and aging in place.

The role also provides counseling services, develops and leads programs and support groups, partners with community agencies, and assists with outreach, reporting, and grant activities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work with licensure in Massachusetts (LSW or LCSW).
• Experience with elders or vulnerable populations.
• Equivalent combination of experience, training and education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advocacy, and case management to older adults and their families.
• Offer counseling services and lead programs and support groups.
