Job summary

St. John's Community Health in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Director of Senior Services to build and lead a new community-based program for older adults.

You will shape strategy, oversee operations, partnerships, and financial performance while serving as the primary ambassador to community organizations and senior networks. The role requires a senior leader with a background in health or human services, a track record of launching programs, and strong skills in partnership development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Gerontology, Business Administration, or a related human services field.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in healthcare, human services, community programs, or related operations.
• Demonstrated experience developing and launching a program, service line, or community initiative from concept to implementation.
• Proven success developing, managing, and sustaining community partnerships.
• Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Define program outcomes, performance metrics, and evaluation strategies.
• Build, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, faith-based groups, senior centers, healthcare organizations, and local agencies.
• Negotiate partnership agreements and establish referral pathways that support program objectives.
• Represent SJCH within community coalitions, aging networks, and senior service organizations.
• Collaborate with SJCH clinical leadership to provide community-based preventive health programs, screenings, immunizations, and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure all services meet organizational standards for quality, privacy, documentation, and compliance.
• Foster a culture centered on dignity, respect, diversity, inclusion, and person-centered care.
• Develop and manage program budgets in partnership with Finance.
• Collaborate with Grants and Development teams to identify and pursue funding opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational requirements governing senior services.
