City of Marquette is seeking a Social Worker II to manage caseloads of seniors with complex needs, providing social, emotional, financial, and physical support and linking to community resources. Under the Senior Services Manager, you assess ADLs/IADLs and collaborate with partners to meet client needs.

Typical duties include maintaining records, supporting Senior Services Center functions, and advocating with agencies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in social work and a current State of Michigan LBSW.
• Knowledge of agencies and services in public and private sectors.
• Willingness to become a certified Medicare/Medicaid Counselor.
• Ability to manage high client caseloads with multidisciplinary needs.
• Strong communication and research skills.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to inquiries about program services and eligibility for assistance.
• Facilitate support groups and meetings of community agencies when needed.
• Provide staff support for Senior Services Center functions.
• Assess ADLs/IADLs and emotional well-being; determine case management needs.
• Provide Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program services by certification.
• Advocate with community agencies for clients; maintain case records and reports.
• Review cases with Manager and Social Work Coordinator; assist in training new staff.
