County of San Juan (NM) is seeking a Senior Services Aide to support a busy senior center. Responsibilities include assisting with meal preparation, serving, and home delivery to seniors, along with safe transport to events and center activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six months in an office setting and six months in food handling. NM Food Handler’s permit and NM Driver’s license are needed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months in an office setting plus 6 months in food handling procedures.
• Prefer experience working with and relating to senior citizens.
• Must have valid New Mexico Food Handler’s permit or obtain within 60 days.
• Must have NM Driver's license or obtain within 6 months.
• Good driving history preferred.
• CPR certification with first aid training required.
• Relevant cash handling experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in meal preparation, serving and clean-up; help with home delivery of meals.
• Provide safe transportation of seniors to the Center for meals or events; maintain timely schedule.
• Collect, log and balance donations to ensure compliant cash handling procedures.
• Operate the County’s ERP system for data entry and reporting as needed.
• Answer incoming calls and assist the public with questions or problems.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized work area and assist with kitchen and dining area cleanup.
