Job summary

Aqua IT in Sterling, VA seeks a senior ServiceNow Developer to lead a MBSE cloud platform centered on ServiceNow with AWS. The role covers CI/CD, DevSecOps, and secure operations for government clients, delivering complex, integrated workflows and documentation.

You will deploy and maintain ServiceNow infrastructure, implement automation with Terraform/Jenkins/GitLab, and produce detailed guidance for leadership. Strong security and compliance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years' ServiceNow experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Active TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph required
• Must meet DOD 8570 requirements (Security+ CE Certification at minimum)
• Must possess ServiceNow Certifications
• Demonstrated expertise as a senior ServiceNow engineer delivering similar scope projects
• Understanding of all security related requirements in secure environments
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies and ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Strong technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Create, deploy and maintain ServiceNow infrastructure and related APIs for all customer applications in an AWS cloud-based environment
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow utilizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, test automation, and DevSecOps
• Deliver ServiceNow operations and maintenance, utilizing ServiceNow Discovery, Flow Designer, and SAM components, basic DevOps Tooling (Foreman, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab) and automated testing tools (Selenium)
• Conduct DevSecOps testing, developing automated test plans for both security and functional requirements, as well as conducting end-to-end and regression testing with services integrated into ServiceNow
• Configure and monitor visualization tools (Grafana, Splunk) to work with ServiceNow
• Maintain the ServiceNow system to ensure functionality with identities, security, and cloud architecture.
• Create and maintain complex roles and permissions through ServiceNow to ensure customer data integrity and security
• Create and update technical documentation (e.g. user guides, infrastructure diagrams) as well as prepare technical presentations for government and senior leadership
• Communicate effectively in a group environment with technical and non-technical, management and customer both written and verbally
• Utilize robust troubleshooting skills while applying solid engineering rigor to include configuration management and testing
